Plants are not only aesthetic, they can have unexpected virtues such as cleaning up an interior.
The anthurium is native to Central America. Most anthuriums come from the rainforests of South America. These semi-epiphytic plants grow on plant debris which accumulates in crevices, between rocks, on tree stumps or in cracks which form in the bark of trees.
It is a common indoor plant, recognizable by its flowers, often red spathes accompanied by tubular spadices generally white or yellow. Today there are 600 to 800 species of anthurium.
Be careful, the anthurium doesn't like cold drafts!
